easeltv wins award for Most Compelling Service Offer at Connected Home Awards

easeltv has won the prize for the Most Compelling Service Offer at the Connected Home Awards for its Virgin Media Framework application.

easeltv integrated the TiVo Premier platform into the Virgin Media broadcast framework and IP network. easeltv developed a set of APIs to allow third party application developers to build their own services on TV and we developed a core TV App framework that enables Virgin Media to rapidly produce and deploy video-centric apps without any software development.

The platform is the worlds the first Pay TV operator ‘over the top’ open development platform. easeltv has fully represented TiVo in the UK and its developers and testers have provided all the Virgin Media systems integration over the last two years and two product releases.

The easeltv app framework has been used to deliver TV apps such the Harry Potter and Twilight Premiers, The V Festival, and Virgin Media short-film competition – all with little or no development effort.
